What can be said only a disaster.... First stage went well then it all went down hill from there.SS2 the wiper arm on the drivers side went AWOL leaving me with no visability...dropped 2mins to the class leader then Into service and fitted a new one that only lasted for the road section. We stopped and swapped the co drivers over for SS3,leaving Ruth with no visability!
Half way through SS3 The pin came out of the box and I thought the box went, but it took us 7 mins to get it back in and going!!!
SS4 was slow because the weather was bad and the screen was misting up, but we got back to service to lick our wounds. After checking the results in the HQ lying 61st overall and 18th in class(10 mins behind 3rd in class)we decided to leave the car in parc ferme and go on the piss, saving the car and tyres for the next event. So we are home with the car 100% and ready to go to the rally of 1000 entries...
A great weekend was had by all and the service crew of Hyper, Gerry, Craig, Terry, Ted and Ging - All done a great job in awful conditions..and Ruth is a top class navigator putting up with all the hassle!
